Turin Hostels

The perhaps most economical solution for a vacation is probably the hostel. Despite the low pο»Ώrices, hostels can provide you with unique and special experiences, perhaps different from the classic norm!

Nowadays, staying in a hostel is no longer considered a "risky" or "unhygienic" experience, as these facilities now provide all the essential comforts and give you the opportunity to meet people who, like you, have chosen this option.

ADVICE: As with all accommodations, always read the reviews carefully to find the one that suits you best. Not the all structures could be able for you!

Turin has several hostels located in different areas of the city. Let's take a look at those that, in my opinion, can offer you a unique, enjoyable, and classy experience:

- Combo Torino hostel (located in Aurora area of Turin). Personally one of my favourite; here you can enjoy your stay with a lot of different things to do, inside there is also a restaurant and a bar. (Address: Corso Regina Margherita 128, Turin)

- Bamboo Eco Hostel (located in Barriera di Milano area of Turin). The uniqueness and beauty of this hostel lie in the fact that it is built with 100% eco-friendly materials. Simplicity and warm hospitality to make you feel at home are the keys to the inspiration behind this structure. (Address: Corso Palermo 90/D, Turin)

- Hostel Turin Metro Young (located in Campidoglio area of Turin). Hospitable and comfortable facility in a very convenient area to reach the city center thanks to the numerous public services nearby. (Address: Via Brione, 20, Turin)

- Attic Hostel Torino (located in Historic Centre area of Turin). Structure characterized by rooms exclusively in an attic of a building located near the historic center and 150m from Torino Porta Nuova railway station. Rooms with meticulous, modern, and clean design. I recommend this property for its excellent location in relation to the main points of interest in the city. (Address: Piazza Pietro Paleocapa 2, Turin)

You need to specify that this type of accommodation will obviously have different characteristics compared to stays in hotels/residences or B&Bs; in this case, you will share the room with strangers, and the facilities will be shared among multiple rooms. Personally, and considering my preferences, I wouldn't opt for an experience of this kind, but I know people who have enjoyed this type of accommodation!

Usefull tips for staying in a hostel:

Usefull tips and essential items you can't do without:

  1. Padlock (very useful since you don't know the people you'll be sharing the room with)
  2. Eye mask and earplugs (very useful to help you sleep more peacefully and quietly)
  3. Shower gel and shampoo (it's better to have your own for sure!)
  4. Flip-flops and towel (personal items are definitely more hygienic here)
  5. Pillowcase
  6. Universal adapter for charging (so as to be "prepared" for any eventuality)
  7. Sheets or sleeping bag. (Not all facilities provide them or some do so but with an additional fee. At this point, it's better to bring them from home to save money!)

Respecting the hostel rules is certainly the first rule to ensure a harmonious stay with your roommates. If you need to make calls at "questionable" hours, use the common areas; if you need to set an alarm, make sure to have your phone within reach to avoid disturbing others when it goes off. Pay attention to cleanliness; the more orderly you are in the room, the more your tidiness will be appreciated, especially as a matter of mutual respect.
