Exhibition “Piotr Uklański – Faux Amis” Turin
31/10/2025 – 06/04/2026
The exhibition “Piotr Uklański – Faux Amis” at the Pinacoteca Agnelli in Turin offers visitors a fresh perspective on both contemporary and historical art. Polish artist Piotr Uklański transforms the museum’s Scrigno space by placing his own paintings, photographs and installations in creative dialogue with masterpieces by artists such as Bellotto, Matisse, Renoir, Canova and Manet. The title, meaning “false friends,” refers to visual and conceptual similarities that mask deeper differences, prompting viewers to rethink familiar works and narratives. The project also includes site-specific interventions at the Museum of Human Anatomy and the Museum of Fruit, extending the artistic conversation beyond the Pinacoteca’s walls.
