The exhibition “Edward Weston. The Matter of Forms” at CAMERA – Italian Center for Photography in Turin presents a comprehensive retrospective of one of the most influential figures in modern photography. From February 12 to June 2, 2026, the show features 171 photographs spanning more than forty years of Weston’s work (from 1903 to 1948), from his early pictorialist experiments to his full embrace of straight photography, a movement he helped establish with Group f/64.
Through striking black-and-white landscapes, nudes, still lifes, and portraits, the exhibition highlights Weston’s role in shaping photography as an autonomous and modern visual language, celebrated for its clarity, form, and poetic depth.
