On March 21–22, 2026, the Mercato Centrale Torino hosts Gaya Gaya, a vibrant festival dedicated to Japanese culture. Over two days, the historic venue in the Porta Palazzo district turns into a lively cultural bridge between Italy and Japan. Visitors can explore traditional Japanese street food, live cooking shows, artistic performances and cultural talks, all designed to showcase the richness of Japanese traditions. The program features taiko drum performances, tea ceremony demonstrations, traditional music and interactive workshops focused on arts such as calligraphy, origami and sumi-e painting. A unique event offering an immersive journey through the flavors, sounds and traditions of Japan.
