. FIRST SECTION – Getting There and Getting Around
By Train: The main railway stations are Porta Nuova (in the city center) and Porta Susa, both served by high-speed trains (Frecciarossa and Italo).
By Plane: Turin is served by Torino Caselle Airport (TRN), located about 16 km north of the city center. You can easily reach the city via the direct train link to Porta Susa, the Arriva express shuttle bus, or by taxi/ride-sharing (approx. 25โ30 minutes). For a wider range of international long-haul flights, Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) is about 1 hour and 15 minutes away and connected by direct bus services.
By Car: Turin is a major highway hub easily accessible via the A4 (from Milan and Venice), A6 (from Savona/Liguria), A21 (from Piacenza and Brescia), and A32 (from France via the Frรฉjus Tunnel). Note: If you drive into the city center, be mindful of the ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone), active on weekday mornings, and opt for one of the main underground parking garages (such as Piazza San Carlo or Piazza Castello).
Getting Around: Turin’s center is best explored on foot. For longer distances, the efficient network of trams, buses, and the automated metro line has you covered.
