San Salvario ha un Cuore Verde 2026 Turin
16/05/2026 – 17/05/2026

SAN SALVARIO HA UN CUORE VERDE returns to the city this year to transform the neighborhood’s central avenue into a lush garden of best practices and sharing, but with a very special edition: OFF of the 2026 International Book Fair. On May 16-17, it will involve several areas in addition to Corso Marconi, the Sambuy Gardens in Piazza Carlo Felice, and, as a common thread and link, the Metro Line 1 with the Porta Nuova, Marconi, and Lingotto stops.
Under the centuries-old trees of Corso Marconi, the event dedicated to greenery, art, and culture will be held alongside associations, nurseries, florists, artisans, and sustainable and locally sourced agricultural producers, this year more literary than ever! A truly festive occasion designed to engage residents in a moment of active participation in public spaces.
From Via Nizza and Largo Marconi, heading toward Via Madama Cristina, the pedestrian route will once again highlight the strategic importance of the historic avenue that leads from Porta Nuova Station to Parco del Valentino and the Po River. New this year: the excellent nurseries and their exhibition spaces will welcome the writers for meetings with the public and book signings. Arriving by subway, the seven literary figures, including writers, will be hosted by gardening experts from Vivai Giani, Floricoltura Tarricone Graziella, Spagnoli, Gardenesque, Azienda Agricola Maurizio Feletig, Erbaio della Gorra, and Vivai Anna Peyron, who will complement their botanical lessons with literary exchanges and moments of interdisciplinary knowledge.
On Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th May from 10am to 7pm, Giardino Forbito celebrates the fighting spirit of Women for the Defense of Civil Society – committed for years to the redevelopment of the San Salvario neighborhood and the dissemination of good environmental, cultural and social policies – as well as champions of the pedestrianization of many areas of the neighborhood – and this year, also with a view to finally achieving total pedestrianization, the event will occupy the stretch of avenue from Largo Marconi to Via Madama Cristina. Corso Marconi will be animated not only by the varied selection of horticultural, agricultural and artisan products, but also by the stands of all those non-profit cultural associations that, in various capacities, deal with culture, art, nature and humanity with artistic proposals, literary walks and lively and in some ways even spontaneous editorial insights, in collaboration with the Fondazione per Il Libro and GTT which will help people to move as much as possible along the line of Metro 1 on the Porta Nuova / Marconi / Lingotto section, Andata e Ritorno as well as with the innovative Star Buses are now on call at night (operational mode). A weekend packed with events and educational opportunities for adults and children alike.
Exhibitors at the market will showcase the vitality of associations and non-profit organizations specializing in gardening and tableware, as well as master craftsmen including: Flora Import, Arbarello, MieTi, Cascina Blu and Azienda agricola Pozzatello, Tres Blasé aperitivo alla gentianella, Ceramiche fiabesca, Tom Disiot, and L’Imperfetto design. Non-profit organizations and non-profit organizations include: Casa Ambiente, Green Peace, Laqup, Kermosofiia, Donne per la Difesa della Società Civile, Angi, Mediterrean, Mediatori culturali, Orpetu, Emergency, Telethon, AIL, and Sansa.
