Thirty-fourth edition of Turin’s most important regatta of the year. Like every year, the SilverSkiff brings together hundreds of participants and tourists from all over Italy and Europe. This 11km race (for adults) and 4km race (for children aged 11-14) follows the entire length of the Po River, from the bridge in Piazza Vittorio to the Ponte Isabella. How did this tradition begin? The SilverSkiff, a unique race in Italy, began in 1992 when Cerea member Vittorio Soave, an antiquarian bookseller and avid rower since the 1950s, challenged single-handed rowers from Cerea and other Turin clubs to compete on the 11km route from Cerea to Isolotto di Moncalieri and Cerea. From there, the tradition has continued and grown! A day of sport for all ages not to be missed!
