T. rex – from fossils to cinema icons

19/11/2026 – 31/01/2028
T. rex – from fossils to cinema icons; from November 19, 2026, to January 31, 2028, the National Cinema Museum of Turin presents T. rex vs. T. rex: From Fossils to Cinema Icons inside the iconic Mole Antonelliana. Curated by Gianni Canova and Stefano Boni, this major exhibition bridges deep scientific history and movie magic. At the heart of the museum’s central hall, two authentic 10-meter-long Tyrannosaurus rex fossil skeletons are displayed face-to-face in a dramatic battle posture. Along the museum’s spiral ramp, visitors explore over a century of cinematic history through original props, animatronics, models, storyboards, and archival film material that shaped how pop culture envisions prehistoric giants.
