Vialattea Piedmont

Welcome to Vialattea Piedmont!

Stretching across the Italian-French border, the Vialattea, “Milky Way”, is one of Europe’s largest ski areas, with over 400 km of slopes connecting charming alpine resorts like Sestriere, Sauze d’Oulx, Sansicario, Cesana, Claviere and even Montgenèvre in France. Known for its world-class facilities and stunning alpine scenery, the Vialattea is a dream destination for winter sports lovers.

But the Vialattea isn’t only about skiing. With lively villages, gourmet mountain cuisine, and summer activities ranging from hiking to biking, it offers a rich alpine experience all year round!

Another great advantage of the Vialattea is its easy accessibility: from Turin, you can reach the area in about 1.5 hours by car (see the road for Sestriere) or train, making it an ideal choice for both day trips and longer stays.

A milestone in its modern history came with the 2006 Winter Olympics, which gave the area global recognition while enhancing its infrastructure.

Today, the Vialattea blends sport, culture, and gastronomy: from Italian-French influences to hearty mountain cuisine and lively village festivals, it offers visitors a unique mix of international prestige and authentic alpine charm.
