08.30 ---> Porta Nuova Train Station
Turin Porta Nuova train Station is one of the most easily accessible places in the city, so I decided to start our day from here! (click here to show on map!)
09.00 - 11.00 visit to Egyptian Museum
View the street from Porta Nuova train station to Egyptian Museum here!
The Egyptian Museum is undoubtedly one of the most important museums in the city and worldwide! It’s an unmissable stop that takes you back 4,000 years to the origins of Egyptian civilization. A truly fascinating museum!
The visit lasts approximately 2 hours, allowing you to take your time and enjoy every detail. Book your skip-the-line ticket here: Turin: Egyptian Museum Skip-the-Line Guided Tour
11.30 - 12.30 Discover the beauty of the Royal Gardens
View the street from Egyptian Museum to Royal Gardens here!
The Royal Gardens, into the Royal Museums, are the largest green space in the entire city center. Spanning almost 7 hectares, they were originally designed as a park for the Savoy family. Now, they are an expansive public park where you can relax and enjoy a touch of nature in the heart of Turin!
12.30 - 14.00 Lunch break in the City Centre!
We’ve reached the middle of the day, and as with any great outing, a lunch break is essential. We’re in Piazza Castello, and since the next stop begins right here, I’ve thought of recommending a few nearby cafés where you can relax and enjoy something warm!
- Baratti e Milano Bar (view on map here)
- Bar Farmacia del Cambio (view on map here)
- Crostone.it (view on map here)
02.00 PM - 03.00 PM City Sightseeing Turin tour!
The best way to see more parts of the city in a short amount of time is to tour it by bus! The red line I’m suggesting from City Sightseeing takes about 50 minutes and gives you a great tour through the historic center, the Monte dei Cappuccini, and the Parco del Valentino, before returning to Piazza Castello.

A fifteen minutes walk where you can enjoy the beauty of Via Po, une of the most important street of the city!
03.20 PM - 04.30 PM Visit Mole Antonelliana and panoramic view!
The Mole Antonelliana is the most iconic symbol of the city! When people think of Turin, they immediately picture the Mole Antonelliana. So, it had to be included in this tour... Inside, you can explore the magnificent Cinema Museum (Turin was one of the founding cities of Italian cinema) and, finally, take the panoramic elevator to enjoy the spectacular view of the entire city!

05.30 PM - 06.00 PM Take the City Sightseeing bus and return to Porta Nuova
View the street from Monte dei Cappuccini to City Sightseeing stop N.4 here!
Finally, head to stop number 4 of the City Sightseeing (Red Line) and ride it to stop number 7, "Porta Nuova," where you'll return to the starting point and conclude this wonderful day of exploring the city!
06.00 PM Return to Porta Nuova Train Station
Even though we couldn’t visit many of the interesting and fascinating attractions in the city, I believe this one day in Turin tour provides a great "taste" to truly appreciate the beauty of this wonderful city! 😊
An important distinction to make depends on the mode of transportation you’ll use to arrive in the city... because depending on the means of transportation you use to arrive, there will be different ways to reach the city center.
Arriving by Train
Traveling by train is the most convenient way to comfortably reach Porta Nuova and the city center without dealing with traffic or parking issues. Discover the best accommodations near Turin's train stations!
Traveling by car gives you more freedom to move around, but you need to be mindful of the ZTL (Limited Traffic Zones) in the city center. The great convenience is that Turin’s city center is full of paid underground parking facilities, allowing visitors to park their cars. The main underground parking options in the center include "Porta Nuova," "Piazza San Carlo," "Piazza Castello," and "Piazza Vittorio."
Arriving by Car
Using Public Transport
Another means of transportation is public transit (buses and the metro). Undoubtedly, they are the most convenient option and can take you to areas where trains cannot reach and cars cannot park. Discover how to get around using public transportation in Turin!
